Welcome, Robert Brooks!
We are very excited to announce a new addition to our family, NFL and Green Bay Packer legend, Robert Brooks!
Robert has taken his mastery from the field to the business world. From commercial and residential real estate, to becoming a minister and now for his newest role, joining Budz Family CBD.
Little History on Robert.
He was drafted in the third round, 62nd overall, of the 1992 NFL draft to the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers (1992-1998) and the Denver Broncos (2000).
During the 1995 season, Brooks caught a 99-yard pass play from Brett Favre during a Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears on September 11, 1995. This reception currently ties the records for longest pass play from scrimmage with twelve other receivers.
He finished with 309 receptions, 4,276 yards, and 32 touchdowns. Robert helped popularize the "Lambeau Leap" and even wrote a song to help it gain traction.
Our Journey Together.
Back in the time when Rhonda was teaching kickboxing at the YMCA, she became good friends with Robert's wife.
Years later, the Budz Butter (yes, you read that right!) team was in search of someone who could join us and help spread awareness of our CBD brand. And that's when the light bulb goes off in Rhonda's head... Robert! She initially reached out to him and the rest is history.
Robert mentioned that his wife had given him other CBD products to try before, but nothing truly relieved his back pain like Budz Butter. He was instantly a fan of our products. He has had lingering back pain since his days in the NFL.
Through further conversation and learning Robert's creative mind, he asked if we thought about doing a re-brand for Budz Butter. We had previous conversations revolving this idea, but it was Robert who encouraged us to take the next steps.
Many different names had come about... Budz's Hemp, Dr. Budz (which we really liked, but already trademarked) then.. Budz Family CBD. A name that perfectly describes who we are, what we do and who we serve.
We are excited for the future and our growing relationship with Robert. He believes CBD will be a safer alternative that grows in popularity over the next several years and is ready to make it happen!
