Benefits of Water Soluble CBD Oil

Where oil-based CBD tinctures once ruled, there are now more ways to take CBD than ever before. Edibles are one popular option, along with a Water Soluble CBD Tincture.

(It’s THC Free, too!)

We’re here to help guide you through everything you need to know about water soluble CBD, as well as how it might benefit you personally.

Why CBD Tinctures?

CBD tinctures are popular because they work quickly and effectively. Simply hold the CBD oil under your tongue for 30 seconds and swallow. Having it sit under your tongue allows the mucous membranes in your mouth to absorb the CBD, where it then takes it to the bloodstream. This speeds up the time to feel relief, as it doesn’t have to pass through the digestive tract and liver before reaching the blood stream and working it’s magic. In other words, it’s making the CBD more bioavailable. We’ll explain more about what this means in soon!

Oil-based CBD tinctures, such as the ones in our Full Spectrum Line, are based in some sort of a carrier oil. We happen to use MCT Oil, but others include Hemp Seed Oil or Olive Oil. These oils have great benefits outside of just being a carrier oil and binding to CBD. They have anti-inflammatory properties, carry healthy fats and can help detoxify your body.

But…did you know our bodies are made up of roughly 60% water?

This makes a huge difference in bioavailability for consuming CBD products. What’s bioavailability you ask? Webster defines it as: “the degree and rate at which a substance (such as a drug) is absorbed into a living system or is made available at the site of interaction.” Bioavailability speaks to how quickly and efficiently the body absorbs and uses a substance.

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “oil and water don’t mix.” Seeing as our bodies are made up of about 60% water, it make sense to have a CBD product that blends well with water, rather than working against it. That’s led to the development of water soluble CBD oils.

Notice the difference in these cups of coffee? The left cup is mixed with our Water Soluble Tincture, while the cup of the right is mixed with our Full Spectrum Tincture.

You’ll notice how the full spectrum tincture has oil sitting at the top and doesn’t have an even mix compared to the water soluble. It’s perfectly fine to use an oil-based tincture in hot drinks, but some people prefer to not have that excess oil. Our water soluble tincture is a great option to get an even mix in hot or cold drinks. Try in a a cup of water, coffee or even a glass of wine. After a long day, it’s nice to unwind with a little of both 😉

So… how is water soluble CBD made?

Water soluble CBD is made using a processes called nanotechnology.

In simple terms, nanotechnology uses sound waves that breaks down CBD clusters into micro-sized particles. These particles are so unbelievably small, you’d never see them with the naked eye. Once it’s broken down into these tiny, tiny particles, CBD becomes a product compatible with water, as it’s small enough to dissolve and blend seamlessly with water molecules.

This is the science behind how a water soluble cbd oil will sync well with your body and help you absorb as many of the cannabinoids as possible and at a faster rate.
